THEY HAVE ARRIVED! This Monday, the 25th, izna, a girl group formed on the survival program “I-LAND 2”, made their long-awaited debut with the album “N/a”, which arrived accompanied by a video for the title track “IZNA”.
With hip-hop influences, the track reflects the members’ long journey to realize the dream of their debut, and presents the girl group’s determination to captivate the public with their charms and skills. Watch!
In addition to the title track “IZNA”, the album “N/a” also features four more songs: “TIMEBOMB”, “IWALY” (izna Ver.), “DRIP” and “FAKE IT”. It is worth remembering that “IWALY” is a re-recording of one of the songs presented by the “I-LAND 2” competitors. Remember one of the performances!
“I-LAND 2” is the second season of the “I-LAND” reality show franchise, on South Korean broadcaster Mnet. The first season was held in 2020, in partnership with HYBE, where 23 male trainees competed for a place to debut in the new boy group of Belift Lab, a subsidiary of the conglomerate, forming ENHYPEN, which is composed of Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki.
This year, the program was made in partnership with THEBLACKLABEL, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment, and featured only female trainees to form the new girl group, being evaluated during the competition by names such as Taeyangmember of BIGBANG, the choreographers Monica and Lee Jungand the agency’s CEO and producer himself, Teddy Parka professional known for producing BLACKPINK’s songs.
In July this year, the seven winners of “I-LAND 2” were officially announced, who would debut on the izna, being managed by the company WAKEONE, where five were chosen by popular vote, and two by judges’ choices. They are: Choi Jungeun, Bang Jeemin, Yoon Jiyoon, Koko, Ryu Sarang, May and Jeong Saebi.
