What is the format and style?
In addition to being a series, the new story will be told in a mockumentary style, that is, a fictional production that has the same characteristics as a real documentary.
What moment does it take place?
“Produção de Sonhos” is situated between the first and second films in the franchise.
What is the release date?
The episodes will be released in the Disney+ catalog on December 11th.
What’s the plot?
The series aims to show behind the scenes of the place where Riley’s dreams are formed. Functioning as a film set, this place fills the girl’s head with different dreams and nightmares, whether they happen at night or during the day, appearing as daydreams.
Still, it is when Riley falls asleep that dreams appear that help her process some memories and better understand some aspects of life. To this end, director Paula Persimmon became largely responsible for guiding Riley’s dreams, occupying the role for around a decade, or rather, since the girl was just two years old.
With unicorns and extraordinary worlds, Riley’s dreams were perfect. But, with the imminent arrival of adolescence, magical beings and unreal situations are no longer enough to keep Riley sleeping well, and now the director needs help to continue filling the girl’s nights.

[CUIDADO! Spoilers do primeiro episódio de ‘Produção de Sonhos’]
The chapter begins by showing the production of the dream that made the protagonist decide to give up her pacifier, and introducing the producers and directors of the studios responsible for producing the dreams. The next few minutes of the episode present a transition phase for Riley, who is in pre-adolescence, and begins to face changes in her life — such as being teased by her friends for taking a toy from when she was a child to school.
This memory ends up directly affecting her dreams, causing the girl to forget old dreams. With this, the Studio Director asks the directors to start producing more memorable dreams, so that they are not forgotten by the girl.
Paula, the Director of Fun Dreams, responsible for producing the pacifier, decides to create Riley’s best dream — but still clings to details from the girl’s childhood, causing the dream to become a disaster.
