In an interview on the red carpet of the celebration, A.J. was asked who was the number one artist of 2024, where the artist surprised internet users with his answer by revealing that he was a “big fan” of Jungkookby BTS.
There are so many great new artists. I was a big, big fan of Jungkook, Sabrina is fantastic, even artists like us, who continued”, said the pop star.

It is not the first time that the South Korean group has received such admiration from the members of the American boy band. Since the groups met in 2018, at the Westwood One Backstage event, before the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, the groups have shared a relationship of mutual respect.
The mediator for the beginning of contact between the formations was the DJ Steve Aokiwho collaborated with BTS for the single “Mic Drop”, a track from the album “Love Yourself: Answer”, and worked alongside the Backstreet Boys on a few occasions.
