INTERVIEW – The designer has brilliantly shaken up the jewelery codes and is celebrating the 15th anniversary of his label.
Madame Figaro. – At the time of waking up?
Pascal Monvoisin. – Between 6:30 am and 7 am, my favorite time of day, very conducive to reflection. Not the promise of dawn, but closed.
Give numbers?
Thirty employees (only one guy), four boutiques in France, one hundred sales points in Europe. Two sets of forty pieces a year, prices ranging from €300 to €3,000 and a turnover that has doubled in five years.

If we go back to the roots.
Reims, a provincial city, quite bourgeois. Quite conflicted parents who offer little projection for their children. Alone and not a very good student, I did a lot of things with my hands, that was my way of expressing myself. My father used to call me “bricolo-bricolet”.
A moment that started it all.
In 2007, as an Air France flight attendant, I had a lot of turquoise. During a layover, I entrusted one to a jeweler in Jaipur, India. When I returned, he had put it together a little differently than I imagined. He told me. “That’s what you drew.” I wore this ring, some people noticed it, asked me… I’m still working with it today.
Mentor?
Fabrice Abulquer, my lover who became my husband, a music composer, played an important role in my journey; he gave me confidence. He saw that I was making things that made me happy and happy, but I was afraid to leave a permanent contract. I designed the first small collection and then created my company in 2010.

Course accelerators.
Oreli Bresso worked at Pink TV, we had a common taste, today he is my partner, my executive director, my right and left arm. Agnes b. the teams. were also decisive, I designed several seasons for them. The press supported us from the first day.
Obstacles on the way.
Let’s say when you design jewelry, you don’t have to be a very good manager. In our enthusiasm, we made stupid mistakes for a long time (little forecast, no cash flow in six months, etc.), but the bigger we got, the more were getting more expensive… It was essential to build all that. ! In 2016, we hired a CFO.
What challenges for tomorrow?
Development in the United States and Asia, preserving our DNA that is human-scale.
My father used to call me “bricolo-bricolet”.

What would you like to convey?
An affordable brand that is not reserved for the elite. I pay a lot of attention to it, especially with the gold price explosion at the moment. I hunt for a gram of gold.
Digital addiction?
In the evening, I slow down, put my phone aside to get off the famous hamster wheel. A profession of passion has no beginning or end, but too many images quickly become toxic.
An escape that will energize you.
Sometimes I jump on the train to London and the Tate Modern, I have a membership card so I don’t book, I spend the day there and then come back. And my house between Pont-l’Évêque and Honfleur.

A thought that sets you free ?
These words of Bob Dylan.I was born a long way from where I was supposed to be, and that’s why I’m going home(I was born far from my belonging, I am on my way back).
Your definition of influence.
The smallest detail is important. to influence is to inspire.
The friendly hand that gets you back into shape.
More proverb. “When you have a problem, go for a walk, the solution will come.”
