According to Marvel Studios TV President Brad Winderbaum, Daredevil: Reborn was expected to contain 18 episodes, but will only feature nine.
Winderbaum reported in an interview with Phase Hero:
First we thought of something longer for Daredevil, we wanted to use this character and the world of New York to build a cast. But then we learned a lot of lessons doing it that way, and because of a number of reasons, including the shutdowns and the strikes, we were able to reorganize those episodes and see what we had.
The president continued:
It’s just the best nine episodes. It sounds like it’s a great kind of first season.
In addition to also confirming later in an interview that Daredevil: Reborn is a series that could last for several seasons, encouraging Marvel fans to watch it.

In addition to the return of Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Wilson Bethel (Bullseye), Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) and Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/Punisher), there are new additions to the cast such as Margarita Levieva (Afloat), Sandra Holt (Better Call Saul), Michael Gandolfini (The Deuce), Arty Froushan (Carnival Row) and Lou Taylor Pucci (The Death of the Demon). The job of showrunner was Dario Scarpadane (Jack Ryan).
It’s worth remembering that Daredevil underwent a creative reboot after the duo’s dismissal Matt Corman and Chris Ord of the production of the series. Filming began in 2023, but was interrupted by strikes in Hollywood. In the meantime, Marvel fired the duo and decided to start everything over from scratch.
The series is scheduled to launch on March 4, 2025, on Disney+
