Last Monday, October 28th, the premiere of ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ took place, a revival of the classic Disney Channel series starring Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin. The original story, which was broadcast between 2007 and 2012, followed the day-to-day lives of the young wizard brothers, Justin, Max and Alex Russo, who inherited magical powers from their family and needed to learn how to deal with them during their routine.
Now, more than ten years after Alex became the family sorceress, his older brother, Justin, leads a normal, magic-free life with his wife Giada and their sons Roman and Milo. However, everything changes when Alex appears at his house with a girl named Billie, who needs help to understand and master her powers.
Because it marked a large number of fans who were born during the last decade, the event was full of celebrities who have participated in other famous Disney Channel series and films. Selena Gomez and David Henrie also attended the event, posing for photos with the cast of the new series, which features Janice LeAnn Brown, Mimi Gianopulos, Max Matenko and Alkaio Thiele, in addition to special appearances by the actors David DeLuise and Maria Canals Barrera, the parents of the Russo brothers.
‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ premieres today, October 29th, on Disney Channel, and will be available starting tomorrow, October 30th, on Disney+.
