The request made by Min Hee Jin to hold a general meeting to discuss his return to the role of CEO was made in September
In the month of September, Min Hee Jinformer CEO of ADOR, the company responsible for managing the career of NewJeans, filed a request for an injunction in the South Korean court asking for the convening of an extraordinary general meeting of the agency’s shareholders for her reinstatement in the positions of CEO and Internal Director .
On October 17, the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders was held, without the need for a court decision, where Min was officially renamed as Internal Director. This Tuesday, the 29th, the Seoul Central District Court announced its decision, denying the request for Hee Jin to also be reinstated as CEO, alleging that the allegations in the request did not meet the legal requirements required to constitute grounds for an injunction.
In response to the decision, HYBE, the conglomerate responsible for subsidizing ADOR, said in a statement (via Soompi):
“We are grateful for the court’s wise judgment. We will take this decision as an opportunity to return ADOR to normal, advance our multi-company system and do our utmost to support the activities of our artists.”
About that, Min Hee Jin stated that, although his request was denied, this will not be the end of his battle to return to the position of CEO, claiming that, previously, he would have already agreed with shareholders to guarantee his five-year term at the head of ADOR.
“This decision does not mean that the court has accepted HYBE’s claims. I urge HYBE to comply with the terms of the shareholders’ agreement and make a wise decision for the growth of NewJeans and ADOR.”
