After recent plot cancellations, ‘Looney Tunes’ may have a new project on the way for theatrical release. Find out more!
Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Tweety and many others should be reunited soon, as Looney Tunes could get a new movie! The information was provided by the World of Reel website (via Omelete), which states that the president of Warner Bros. animation, Bill Damaschketold an audience at Lightbox Expo that there is a secret project about the group in development, which should be released in theaters.
The decision is communicated shortly after the company shelved two previously announced titles. The first of them, “The Day the Earth Blew Up”, a Looney Tunes animated film that mixed science fiction comedy genres, whose release was scheduled for the second half of 2024, and would be the first film of the group of characters released in cinemas.
The film, which had Pete Browngardt (Uncle Avô), chosen as director of the film, was supposed to follow the adventures of Daffy and Porky trying to save the world, after discovering an alien plan to control minds. Remember the trailer!
