TV Cultura was a fundamental part of many children’s routines between the 90s and 2000s; remember five notable programs from the time!

For anyone who grew up between the 90s and 2000s, you know that TV Cultura was a fundamental part of the mornings and afternoons of that time. With programming that included everything from animation to puppet shows, the station established itself as one of the most important for the children’s audience that consumed open TV channels.

1. Cocoricó

The classic “Cocoricó” follows the little boy Júlio during his vacation at his grandparents’ house at Fazenda Cocoricó, located in the city of Cocoricolândia. As a boy who grew up in the big city, he discovers a new world of learning and fun when interacting with the different animals that his grandparents raise, always inventing new games in the countryside.

2. Rá-Tim-Bum Castle

One of the most iconic series on TV Cultura is the beloved “Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum”, which narrates the adventures of Nino, a 300-year-old boy who lives in a magical castle with his uncle, Dr. Victor, a wizard and scientist. , and his great-aunt Morgana, a 6,000-year-old sorceress. This story marked the childhood of many children during its broadcast on the channel, and it is still very relevant, as a new exhibition was recently opened in São Paulo.

3. X-Tudo

Produced between 1992 and 2002 in partnership with SESI, “X-Tudo” was a program aimed at educational entertainment for children, where presenter X discussed with children about various topics related to biology, philosophy, history, etc.; remember the opening!

4. Mundo da Lua

“Mundo da Lua” had 52 episodes shown between 1991 and 1992, telling the story of Lucas Silva e Silva, a boy who recorded his adventures on an old recorder while traveling to an imaginary world in each episode. The cast included big names from Brazilian TV, such as Antônio Fagundes, Luciano Amaral, Gianfrancesco Guarnieri and Mira Haar.

5. Where does it come from?

The curious little girl Kika, just five years old, was always ready to ask questions on different topics, starting with “Where Does It Come From?” The animated series, shown in the early 2000s, became the audience leader on TV Cultura, where it answered several questions from children the same age as the character; remember one of the episodes!
