Singer-songwriter Cheryl Cole, Liam Payne’s ex, mourned his loss this Friday, 18th, through a text on her Instagram
Two days after the death of Liam Paynewhich took place last Wednesday, 16th, Cheryl Colethe singer’s ex, mourned the loss through social media. In the text, the artist comments on the impact that sensationalist news about the tragedy can have on Bearthe ex-couple’s son, in addition to asking for respect during the delicate moment:
As I both navigate this shattering time, and work through my own grief during this indescribably painful time, I would like to gently remind everyone that we have lost a human being.
Liam wasn’t just a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and father to our 7-year-old son. A son who now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again.
What disturbs my spirit most is that one day Bear will have access to the news and the disgusting media exploitation we have seen over the past two days. It breaks my heart even more knowing that I can’t protect him from this in the future.
I ask that you please consider what the purpose of some of these reports is, other than to cause more suffering to all who are left to pick up the pieces. Before leaving comments or making videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read this.
Please give Liam what little dignity he has left after his death, so he can finally rest in peace.”
The relationship of Cheryl andLiamit started in 2016 but only lasted about two years, ending in 2018, a year after Bear was born. According to the singer, the separation was the result of toxicity present in the relationship.
