Liam Payne’s family issued an official statement on social media mourning his death and asking fans for space during their mourning

This Thursday, the 17th, the family of Liam issued an official statement on social media (via Cosmopolitan) mourning his death, and asking fans to give them space during this moment:
We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.
We are supporting each other as best we can as a family, and we ask for privacy and space at this terrible time.”
The singer’s most recent solo release, since the end of 1D in 2016, was the single “Teardrops”, released in March this year. He also had plans for his second solo album, but production was halted indefinitely due to the track’s unsatisfactory performance.
At 31 years old, Liam left his son Bear7 years old, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and his family, which includes his mother Karenyour father Geoff and her sisters Nicola and Ruth.
