Today, ADOR held a general meeting with shareholders, and reappointed former CEO Min Hee Jin as internal director.”
Until the information is confirmed, the original contract of Min Hee Jin as internal director was scheduled to end on November 1st. However, with the recent changes, she will continue in the role for another three years, starting the day after the previous contract ends.
The conflict between Min Hee JinHYBE and ADOR has been ongoing since mid-April, when the professional was accused of conspiring and collaborating for ADOR to become an independent record label. At the end of August, after a legal battle lasting around four months, ADOR announced that Min Hee Jin she would no longer act as CEO, but would continue to produce content for NewJeans, its main group, as internal director.
Following this episode, the five members of NewJeans held an anonymous live broadcast on YouTube on September 11, issuing an ultimatum to HYBE to reinstate Min Hee Jin as CEO until September 25th. Two days later, Min Hee Jin requested an injunction seeking her reappointment as internal director, which was accepted.
