The “One Piece” anime will go on hiatus for six months in Japan! As reported by the ComicBook portal (via Omelete), the title’s producer, Toei Animation, confirmed the stoppage last Sunday, the 13th, during an online broadcast, stating that new episodes of the plot will only be released in April 2025.
The studio also states that the decision was made so that the team producing the anime can take some time to rest. Furthermore, they also commented that they wanted to pay more attention to Egghead’s arc, without going into deep detail about how.
With this, the break that began yesterday, the 13th, with the broadcast of episode 1122, began the biggest hiatus of “One Piece” since the anime was created, since, since the first episode, the weekly production of chapters for the TV is maintained.
Still, it is worth remembering that fans of the story that follows a band of pirates, known as Straw Hats, who search for fame, power and riches contained in the largest and most sought after treasure in the world left by the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, you won’t be without seeing Luffy and the whole gang on the small screen, as a special and remastered edition of the Fish-Man Island arc, one of the first in the series, will be rerun in Japan. In Brazil, these episodes will be shown on Crunchyroll, as they air in the Land of the Rising Sun.
