The band Okean Elzy presented their debut English-language album Lighthouse, which symbolizes hope for the future and shows a new approach to music, while maintaining the spirit of the group.
For the first time in its 30 years of existence, Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy has released an English-language album called Lighthouse.
The album includes ten compositions, including the well-known Voices Are Rising and Lighthouse, as well as new tracks: Might Have Been a Dream, Love on Fire, Running Away, Broken Pieces of Me, Favorite Sound, Doves Will Sing, Nowhere and Lullaby .
Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, the leader of the group, said that the name Lighthouse (translated as lighthouse) metaphorically gives hope for the future. The musicians worked on the album in studios in New York, Los Angeles and London, but the recording took place remotely.
Vakarchuk shared that this experience was unusual because he missed the physical presence of the group members. However, he was confident that even in such conditions he was able to preserve Elsa’s Ocean spirit.
It was previously reported that Jamala released a new video for the song ARAFAT DAĞINDAN from the album QIRIM.
Okean Elzy released his first album in eight years
