In the video: Brigitte Macron attends the funeral of Michel Blanc

Following Michel Blanc’s sudden death on October 4, many people came to pay their last respects this Thursday, October 10, and attend a ceremony at the Saint-Eustache Church in Paris.

Present, of course, were Splendid band members Gérard Jeunet, Christian Clavier, Thierry Lhermitte and Josianne Balasco; but also politicians such as Culture Minister Rachida Dati and Brigitte Macron. The wife of the President of the Republic, dressed in black trousers, appeared in the church yard after greeting Father Yves Trocheris. Outside, as proof of the actor’s immense popularity, hundreds of anonymous people and fans gathered in front of the gates that demarcated the security perimeter.

Michel Blanc suffered from anaphylactic shock, a rare but severe allergic reaction to food, medicine or poison that can lead to death within minutes, between Thursday and Friday night. He was taken to a hospital in Paris, where he died.
