Last Sunday night, the 6th, Stray Kids performed on stage at the special 50th anniversary edition of the American Music Awards, the AMAs. On the occasion, the lineup presented a mashup between *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” and the group’s most recent title track “Chk Chk Boom”. Look:
The performance of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, felix, Seungmin and IN was acclaimed by the boy band, which was a rage between 1990 and the 2000s. In a post on social media, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Justin Timberlakewere represented by the following message to the group: “What an honor to see @Stray_Kids recreate the “Bye Bye Bye” puppet moment on stage tonight at the @AMAs! Congratulations on an incredible performance #amas50.”
In addition to “Chk Chk Boom”, there are several other K-pop songs that have been combined with other tracks, mixing the voice of one song over the instrumental of another, and that different fandoms would love to see performed on stage.

With more than a million views on YouTube, this mashup mixes several tracks, including “Daechwita”, by Agust D, “Say My Name”, by ATEEZ, “I Need U”, by BTS, “Shoot Out”, by MONSTA X, “Kick it”, by NCT 127 and “Monster”, by EXO to the track “GOD’S MENU”, by Stray Kids.
2. ITZY x BLACKPINK x LOONA x Red Velvet x TWICE
Mixing “Wannabe” and “Dalla Dalla”, by ITZY, “So What”, by LOONA, “Boombayah” and “As If It’s Your Last”, by BLACKPINK, with some excerpts from “Feel Special”, by TWICE and “Zimzalabim ” by Red Velvet, one of the best k-pop mashups came out. The video has more than 3 million clicks on YouTube.
3. BLACKPINK x BIGBANG
From the same company, the groups BLACKPINK and BIGBANG, from YG Entertainment, had their voices combined through the combination of the hits “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “BANG BANG BANG”, respectively.
4. BLACKPINK x EXO x CLC x EVERGLOW
Featuring “Kill This Love” and “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” by BLACKPINK, “Love Shot” by EXO, “Me” by CLC, “Eu” and “Bon Bon Chocolat” by Everglow, the mashup has 15 million views.
5. K/DA x BTS
What would happen if “Pop/Stars” by K/DA [(G)I-DLE, Madison Beer & Jaira Burns] and “Mic Drop” by BTS feat. Steve Aokiwere merged? This combination pleased fans so much that it already has 18 million views on YouTube.
