During the ceremony celebrating 50 years of the American Music Awards, the AMAs, Stray Kids paid tribute to the legendary boy band *NSYNC. Look!
Last Sunday, the 6th, Stray Kids participated in the special 50th anniversary of the American Music Awards, the AMAs, one of the main American awards dedicated to the music industry, performing on the main stage of the ceremony.
During the event, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, felix, Seungmin and IN paid homage to the legendary 90s boy band *NSYNC, formed by Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Justin Timberlakeby presenting one of their biggest hits, “Bye Bye Bye”, in addition to also performing their most recent release, “Chk Chk Boom”. In addition to being applauded by the audience, the South Korean boy group also received recognition from *NSYNC himself, who made a point of congratulating the group for their performance via social media.
“What an honor to see @Stray_Kids recreate the “Bye Bye Bye” puppet moment on stage tonight at the @AMAs! Congratulations on an incredible performance #amas50”, wrote the group in the publication.
It is worth remembering that “Bye Bye Bye” was one of the biggest hits of the 2000s. Released as the lead single from the boyband’s third studio album, “No Strings Attached”, the song reached fourth place on the Billboard Hot100, in addition to being nominated Grammy Award in 2001 in the “Record of the Year” category. Recently, the track became successful again on the music charts and on the internet, after being part of the soundtrack for the film “Deadpool & Wolverine”, by Marvel Studios. Remember the clip!
