Taras Ilya, a poet and son of Ukrainian poets Valentina Otroshchenko and Valery Ilya, died at the front. Public Radio executive producer Ana More posted it on Facebook.
Taras was the winner of the Oles Gonchar Prize in 2013 for the collection Roots of the Ocean and studied at Kiev University named after Taras Shevchenko.
In June 2024, he acted in the Defense Forces. The funeral will take place on September 24 at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv.
