What do you need to watch before watching ‘Agatha Since Forever’?

Check out everything you need to watch to understand the events of the new Marvel Studios series, ‘Agatha Since Forever’

At 10pm this Wednesday, the 18th, the first two episodes of “Agatha Since Forever” will premiere on Disney+, a new series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that will focus on the life of the village Agatha Harkness, played by the actress Kathryn Hahn.

With that in mind, RECREIO has selected all the films and series that you need to watch to understand all the events that are coming up in the new production. Check it out!

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

For “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, the important thing for the new plot is the post-credit scene, since it is in it that we see Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, for the first time in the MCU, introducing Chaos Magic to the franchise.

2. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

In 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, Scarlet Witch meets the great love of her life: Vision, and officially joins the Avengers. It is also here that her brother, Pietro, ends up dying in battle, a fact that ends up affecting the character’s life in future events.

3. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

In “Civil War”, it is the first time that we see Scarlet Witch being pointed out as a possible future villain, being extremely important in the character’s story because it shows her evolution. In addition, we also see her living a little of the normal life she always dreamed of — something that is reflected in other productions.

4. Doctor Strange (2016)

The first Doctor Strange film, released in 2016, was responsible for developing the world of magic in the MCU, something that promises to be expanded significantly in “Agatha Since Always”, being essential for the public to have a basis in this mythology that will be so strong in the series.

5. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Wanda Maximoff was a big name in “Infinity War,” showing how powerful the character can be, being responsible for destroying an Infinity Stone. This is also where one of the most traumatic moments in Scarlet Witch’s life happens: she has to kill her beloved, Vision, to try to stop Thanos from recovering the stone and completing the Infinity Gauntlet.

6. Avengers: Endgame (2019)

The events of “Avengers: Endgame” influence many of Marvel’s new plots. Here, despite Scarlet Witch’s appearance being more reduced, we can see Wanda’s sadness and mourning for the loss of Vision increasing her power, making her almost able to defeat Thanos alone — a fact that directly influences the events of WandaVision.

7. WandaVision (2021)

Being the most important work to watch before “Agatha Since Always”, it is in WandaVision that the villain Agatha Harkness is introduced, being initially presented only as an inconvenient neighbor, hiding all her powers. It is also here that we meet Billy Maximoff, son of Wanda and Vision who, years later, would be known as Billy Kaplan, the Wiccan, Joe Locke’s character.

8. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” takes place shortly after the events of “WandaVision”, and features a completely broken Wanda after losing everything once again, using the Darkhold, a magic book that belonged to Agatha, to try to learn more about the multiverse and seek to recover her children Billy and Tommy.
