British actor Gary Oldman, who played Sirius Black in the original films, has expressed interest in playing a different role in the series about the boy wizard.
On the red carpet at the 76th Emmy Awards, IndieWire asked the actor if he would like to return to the role of Sirius Black in a future series. However, the actor replied that he has not been invited to the show yet.
“No one has come close to me yet but I adore Sirius He was not enough Dumbledore,” he admitted.
While Warner Bros. and HBO is looking for actors to play the leading roles in a new series based on the books by British writer JK Rowling. The companies announced a global casting call. Filming is set to begin in 2025.
