After all, what are Agatha Harkness’ powers?

Premiering today, the 18th, “Agatha Since Always” will continue the events experienced by the villain of “WandaVision”, as it will follow her freeing herself from the spell cast by the Scarlet Witch in the previous series and embarking on a mission to recover her powers. Relive the trailer!

In the series the heroine played by Elizabeth Olsenit is shown that one of Agatha Harkness’ abilities is to absorb the powers of other beings, as she tries to drain Wanda’s magic. But, what are the other powers that she seeks to recover?

The Powers of Agatha Harkness

A centuries-old witch, Agatha is one of the most powerful sorceresses in Marvel and her powers come mainly from the manipulation of magic, since, by using magic coming from natural forces and extra-dimensional beings, she can cast precognition spells, being able to access information about facts that have not yet happened, as well as communication, analytical and manipulative spells, allowing her to access the minds of other living beings.

More than magic, mixing a variety of mystical components, she can also use her spells to project energy, cause illusions, acquire teleportation and summoning abilities, and can communicate with entities from different dimensions — these are the abilities she is willing to risk to recover.

It is worth remembering that, in the comics, due to her extensive magical abilities, Agatha was considered a mentor to several important characters in Marvel Comics, as she was more than just a nanny to Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, and William and Thomas Maximoff, the sons of Scarlet Witch and Vision, in addition to being the one who taught Wanda to control chaos magic.

Also in the pages of the comics, she was described as the founder of a coven of witches in Salem – a feat that she should repeat in “Agatha Since Always”, since the synopsis states that throughout the eight episodes that will be released weekly on Disney+ until October 30, she will form an unexpected group during her search.

For this, in addition to Kathryn Hahn Like Harkness, the cast includes names like Aubrey Plaza (“The White Lotus”) as Rio Vidal, Patti LuPone (“American Horror Story”) who will play Lilia Calderu, Sasheer Zamata (“Spree”) which will give life to Jennifer Kale, Ali Ahn (“Billions”) who won the role of Alice Wu and Joe Locke (“Heartstopper”), who will play the mysterious teenager who is described as the sorceress’s helper.

The two pilot episodes of “Agatha Desde Sempre” premiere today, the 18th, on the streaming platform’s catalog at 10 pm.
