Find out who is the ITZY member who was hired by JYP Entertainment after attending her first GOT7 fan meeting
Following in the footsteps of someone we admire, both professionally and personally, is the dream of many who strive to achieve success. In the world of K-pop, this is especially common, as many artists entered the industry after being deeply inspired by their idols.
In the case of Ryujinmember of ITZY, the story began in a somewhat more curious way, as she had just become a fan of a certain boy group when the opportunity to become an idol knocked on her door. In an interview for the podcast “Idol Radio” in 2020, the artist briefly recalls her experience after being recruited by JYP Entertainment, who watched her closely during her first GOT7 event:
This happened when I was in my first year of junior high school, the same year I became a fan of GOT7. It was at the fan meeting for their first debut anniversary (between 2014 and 2015), around the time of the song “Stop stop it” (title track of the album “Identify”).
Youngjaea member of GOT7 who was also among the presenters of the interview, was surprised by the revelation. He expressed curiosity about who his favorite member of the group was, to which Ryujin replied that she “couldn’t choose because she liked them all.” In addition, she also mentioned that she still considers herself an ahgase (GOT7 fan). Composed of Mark, Jay B, Jackson Wang, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and YugyeomGOT7 was formed in 2014 by JYP Entertainment. In 2021, after the end of their contracts, all the members left the agency, but they were granted the right to remain together and carry out new promotions as GOT7.
