On September 13, after posts on social media that caught the attention of ARMYs and Bunnies, a question arose: Jungkookfrom BTS, showed support for NewJeans amid the conflict between former ADOR CEO, Min Hee Jinand the HYBE conglomerate? The answer is: YES!
It turns out that, on that date, the idol made two posts in reference to the members of NewJeans through the Instagram account created for his pet dog, Bam (@bowwow_bam), where it is possible to notice that the artist mentions Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein for details contained in the caption.
That’s because, in the first post, he put five hearts in the description that have the colors representing the quintet that gives voice to “OMG” and “Super Shy”, accompanied by the phrase: “Artists are not to blame”. In the second post, he wrote: “Don’t use them”. See!
On the internet, fans began to speculate about the true intention of Jungkookwhich was confirmed later the same day by HYBE:
We have confirmed that he made the posts because he felt that under no circumstances should young artists be dragged into conflicts or used as a shield,” the company said in a statement (via Soompi).
Although the authorship and intention have been confirmed, the Yonhap News TV portal (via Koreaboo) suspects that HYBE altered the singer’s speech regarding the use of the word “shield”, which would have been placed by the company to send an indirect message to Min Hee Jinformer CEO of ADOR.
It is worth remembering that, in April of this year, HYBE began an audit at ADOR after suspecting that the agency’s then CEO, Min Hee Jinand other alleged parties involved were trying to transform the subsidiary into an independent company, also asking the businesswoman to resign from her position.
At the time, Min Hee Jin justified the disagreement with HYBE in another way, stating that the conflict began after she reported an alleged plagiarism by ILLIT, claiming that the new girl group from BeLift Lab (a company also subsidized by HYBE) copied the NewJeans concept. The dispute has been resolved in court, as the businesswoman sued five HYBE executives for defamation, and allegedly had a lawsuit filed by HYBE against her.
Furthermore, amidst the processes, Min Hee Jin was removed from her position as CEO of ADOR on August 27 of this year, and the position was filled by Kim Joo Youngan HR (human resources) specialist. Days later, the former CEO also stated that, with the new contract established, the production of NewJeans would be done by her for just two more months.
More than that, with the new dynamics established at ADOR, the director was removed Shin Woo Seokresponsible for the production company Dolphiners Films, which produced the group’s “Ditto” and “ETA” music videos, in addition to also bringing to light the discontent of the members of NewJeans who, on September 11, carried out a live broadcast on a secondary channel on YouTube, stating that the way ADOR has been operating “is not correct and moral”, and that they now see HYBE as an “inhumane company”.
They also complained about the way they have been treated after the clash between the company and the businesswoman, as they are even suffering exclusion, as reported by Hanni claiming that the manager of another group at the label instructed the members to avoid them.

With this, the support and concern of Jungkook joins other members of the music industry who have expressed sympathy for the group’s (now deleted) accounts, including former YG Entertainment creative director, SINXITYwho shared a screenshot of the broadcast with the caption “support for” and tagged the profiles of NewJeans and Min Hee Jin; and Badafrom SES, who days before shared a video of a song composed by Hanni accompanied by a brief text, which says:
My heart really hurts… How much pain must the members and fans be feeling? Can’t the adults be wiser and more benevolent so that these children, who are just beginning to dream big, don’t get hurt? These lyrics and melodies written by a young singer (Hanni) who has just realized her dreams are tugging at my heartstrings… Praying for an incredible miracle to happen for them.
