Some Pixar villains have met with somewhat painful fates, while others have truly met their darkest ends; see which ones!
Who hasn’t rooted for a Pixar villain to get hurt? The truth is, when these animated characters wreak havoc wherever they go with petty, selfish, and even malicious behavior, it’s natural to want them to get caught or get a taste of their own medicine, so that we can feel that, somehow, justice has been served against them.
Still, when the moment of “revenge” for the good guys finally arrives, the fate given to the antagonists can be somewhat dark, as seen in the endings of Lotso, from “Toy Story 3”; Ernesto De La Cruz, from “Coco”; Charles Muntz from “Up”; Syndrome, from “The Incredibles” and Hopper, from “A Bug’s Life”.
Remember how the plot of each of these villains was concluded:
5. Lotso
Introduced as a lovable pink bear who smelled like strawberries, Lotso was actually a dictator at Sunnyside Daycare Preschool, manipulating and mistreating the toys, as well as putting them in places where they originally didn’t belong.
However, Lotso had a chance to redeem himself when Woody and his friends ended up in an incinerator at the dump, and Lotso, who managed to escape, could have helped Andy’s toys, but he didn’t. The toys survived and found a good home, while Lotso was tied to the front of a truck, where he would never receive the love of a child again.
4. Ernesto De La Cruz

A popular singer who remained famous in the Land of the Dead, Ernesto De La Cruz hid a dark secret: he murdered his best friend, Héctor, just to become famous, since the songs that brought him to the stage belonged to Miguel’s great-great-grandfather. When the truth was revealed, Ernesto met a painful end, as he ended up being crushed by a bell.
3. Charles Muntz

A famous explorer admired by Carl, Charles Muntz met a grim fate after becoming obsessed with capturing a tropical bird. After trying to kill Carl, Russell and Dug while chasing the bird, Muntz ended up tripping on one of the balloon ropes attached to Carl’s floating house, falling for meters until he reached the ground lifeless.
2. Syndrome

After being ignored by Mr. Incredible, Syndrome decided to get revenge. As a result, he used his intelligence to create inventions and put humanity in danger, becoming a true villain by ending the lives of several innocent people just to get to the patriarch of the Parr family.
At the end of the film, Syndrome tries to kidnap Mr. Incredible’s youngest son, little Jack-Jack, but ends up with his cape caught in the turbine of his own aircraft, earning a painful end.
1. Hopper

Hopper bullied a colony of ants into working to replenish the food supply of the grasshopper gang he commanded before the rainy season, until Flink, one of the ants, came up with a plan to put an end to this exploitative system.
Flink knew that grasshoppers served as food for some birds, so he created a bird made of leaves to scare the villain. The plan didn’t work. However, when Flink cornered a grasshopper in front of a nest, the mother of the chicks appeared and, upon seeing the bird, he believed that it was another plot by the ants. When he realized he was wrong, it was too late, and he ended up becoming food for the chicks.
