Check out some of the super-smart villains featured in classic Pixar Animation Studios films over the years.
Pixar’s animated films feature a vast catalog of memorable characters, who remain beloved by audiences even years after their films premiered. In addition to the good guys, many villains end up being admired by fans, due to their strong personalities and intelligence to achieve their evil goals.
With that in mind, RECREIO has brought you a list of 5 super-intelligent Pixar villains that are unforgettable. Check it out!
1. Lotso (Toy Story 3)
Who wasn’t surprised by Lotso’s plot twist in “Toy Story 3”? Right at the beginning of the film, the teddy bear shows himself to be a cute and helpful toy, always ready to help — but what we never imagined is that it was all just a hoax.
As the story progresses, we discover that his false sympathy was a plan created by himself as a form of manipulation, to deceive Woody and his friends and make them the children’s “punching bags”, since, for the character, if he could not be loved by a child, no one else could.
2. Henry J. Waternoose (Monsters, Inc.)
Intelligence isn’t always used for good — and Waternoose is a great example of that. Although he seems like a fun boss at the beginning of “Monsters, Inc.”, as the film progresses we discover that he’s actually a businessman with a wicked mind.

This is because, to solve the electrical crisis that Monstropolis was facing, the character creates a hidden scheme of kidnapping children to suck their screams, which were used as a source of energy in the world of monsters, counting on Randall as his henchman.
3. Syndrome (The Incredibles)
Driven by his grudge against Mr. Incredible, Syndrome can be considered one of Pixar’s most intelligent villains. This is because, after being ignored by the hero when he wanted to be his assistant, he spends about 15 years planning his revenge, earning a lot of money and becoming a multimillionaire villain.

Thanks to his enormous financial acquisition, he manages to set up his own lair under a volcano, in addition to creating numerous inventions with advanced technology that were capable of killing many of the heroes.
4. Evelyn Deavor (The Incredibles 2)
The “Incredibles” franchise also introduced another character who uses her enormous intelligence for evil: Evelyn Deavor.

In order to ruin the heroes’ reputation so that their presence would become illegal again, she creates hypnosis technology and manipulates everyone, including the supers and their partners, to complete her plan.
5. Stinky Pete (Toy Story 2)
Like other characters featured on this list, Stinky Pete from “Toy Story 2” also used the deception tactic to manipulate the other characters in the story.

At the beginning of the plot, we see Pete as a lovely, caring and funny old man, however, when his plan to go to a museum is threatened, he shows his true personality, proving that he manipulated all the other toys just to favor his own will.
