Since the televised exchange between the vice president and Donald Trump on Tuesday, September 10, the candidate’s earrings have been the subject of strange and unwarranted speculation.
She chose a very classic outfit. During her presidential debate with Donald Trump on Tuesday, September 10, Kamala Harris wore a black Dior suit and white bow blouse, along with an American flag pamphlet. But there is one detail that has particularly caught the attention of Internet users. The vice president did wear Tiffany & Co signature earrings in 18-carat gold and set with South Sea pearls. Jewelry that sparked a crazy theory, as reported Page six Wednesday, September 11.

Some supporters of Donald Trump thus claim that the Tiffany & Co. creations were actually headphones into which someone whispered answers to the Democrat. “Looks like Kamala Harris was trained in headphones tucked into her earrings during a presidential debate against President Trump on ABC,” tweeted @The_Trump_Train. A post highlighting the similarities between the jewelry and the Nova H1 headphones — “wireless devices integrated into a pair of pearl earrings” — sold on Kickstarter last year.

The post has since garnered 10,000 likes and 580,000 views. “These earrings have audio transmission capability and act as discreet headphones,” another user added. A theory that was debunked by a Twitter post claiming that Kamala Harris has already worn the jewelry several times. “These earrings have a thin base, while the headphones are attached to a thick base,” users note. Kamala Harris has actually worn her earrings on several occasions, most notably in June, June 19th, to celebrate the abolition of slavery in the United States.
