Celebrated annually on September 16, Batman Day 2024 will see the return of two major Batman films to theaters.
To celebrate Batman Day, known as Batman Day in Brazil, celebrated annually around the world, Warner Bros. announced that two classic Batman films will return to theaters: “Batman” (1989), starring Michael Keatonand “The Batman” (2022), with Robert Pattinson in the lead role.
The information was revealed by the studio through Instagram, where, according to information present in the publication, the films should remain on display between September 19th and 25th, with sessions scheduled throughout the country.
It is worth remembering that “The Batman”, directed by Matt Reevesis the latest release from Batman, and is scheduled to have a sequel that should hit theaters in 2026. According to the filmmaker, the development of the script is already underway, and filming should begin next year.
Still inspired by the universe of the film starring Robert Pattinsonthe franchise will gain a series this month, focused on the villain Penguin. Titled “Penguin”, the production stars Colin Farrelland will have its plot set two days after the events of the 2022 film.
Composed of 8 episodes, the series will present the city of Gotham completely fragile and shaken after the death of Carmine (John Turturro), the central figure in the world of crime, opening space for new big criminals to appear.
“Pinguim” is set to premiere on September 19th at 10pm on HBO and Max, with a rerun on Sunday the 22nd also at 10pm. After the premiere, new episodes will be released every Sunday at 10pm on HBO and Max. Check out the trailer!
