According to John Leguizamo, Sid’s voice actor in ‘Ice Age,’ the sixth film in the franchise is being planned. Find out more!
In a recent interview with the podcast “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!”, the actor John Leguizamoresponsible for dubbing the character Sid in the English version of the “Ice Age” franchise, stated that the sixth film in the production would be on the way.
“We’re about to make Ice Age 6!” revealed Leguizamo, who did not elaborate on his answer when asked about more details about the project.
It is worth remembering that, a few days ago, Carlos SaldanhaBrazilian director responsible for the films in the franchise, revealed in an interview with Omelete that Disney, the current holder of the rights to “Ice Age” still consults him frequently to talk about a possible sequel, as a kind of creative consultant, but that he no longer has the power to make big decisions.
“I’m still involved in some conversations, we’re thinking about doing Rio 3, but it’s a different dynamic. I’m not fully involved in the decisions, I’m looking for another space for myself,” he revealed. “I’m happy that they continue to think about these franchises, wanting to do them, but for my part, I’m looking ahead, to the next projects, the next animation, I’m always looking for something new.”
So far, the studio has not officially confirmed the possible return of “Ice Age” for its sixth film.
