In a surprise live on YouTube, the five members of NewJeans expressed their great dissatisfaction with HYBE in the fight with ADOR
On the morning of this Wednesday, the 11th, NewJeans fans were surprised with a live show performed by the members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyeinthrough a secondary YouTube channel, where the artists spoke publicly for the first time about the recent events of the battle between HYBE and Min Hee Jinformer CEO of ADOR, the company responsible for managing the girl group.
During the beginning of the broadcast, which has now been deleted, the idols revealed that they decided to speak out on their own, as they had a series of points they wanted to express, and made it clear that at no time were they asked to Hee Jin to speak out.
One of the strong criticisms presented by NewJeans during the live is about the new management of ADOR, imposed after the dismissal of Min Hee Jin from the position of CEO, where Danielle states that, with the new management, she feels worried that the group will no longer be able to work with the team they have been together since their debut.
“I feel like we won’t be able to accomplish the things we planned with CEO Min, nor will we be able to realize our dreams. All we did was work hard for our dreams. What did we do wrong? In just one week after CEO Min was removed, we became unable to work with the director we’ve always worked with, and I’m very worried that we won’t be able to work with the team that was with us. They need to stop simply saying that they prioritize artists and that they’re doing their best for us, and just leave us alone so we can trust them, enjoy things, and make the music we like. Looking at things humanely, I hope they stop torturing CEO Min. I can only see HYBE as an inhumane company. What can we learn from seeing how they act?”
Already Haerin demonstrated his discontent with HYBE’s previous statements, where they stated that artists were their priority, however, that was not what happened.
“Thanks to external powers, we have been inconvenienced endlessly, and I cannot and will not understand this situation. What exactly is ‘for our own good’ and what is it about it that ‘helps us grow?’ I will never be able to understand,” Haerin said.
Minjithe oldest member, was responsible for asking the conglomerate and its founder live, Bang Si Hyukto reinstate Min Hee Jin as CEO of ADOR by the 25th.
“What we want is for Min Hee Jin to remain as CEO, the original ADOR where management and production were combined. This is the way we can stop fighting with HYBE. If you understand our views clearly, then we ask that HYBE and Chairman Bang [Bang Si Hyuk] make the wise decision to return ADOR to how it was originally by the 25th.”
Finally, the maknae Hyein reiterated the requests made by the members, highlighting that the current way in which HYBE has been operating “is not correct and moral”.
“The way HYBE operates is not right and moral. Please stop bothering us. Reinstate CEO Min and return ADOR to its original state, not to this unfamiliar environment. I am not asking you to be better to us. I am just asking you to work separately from our individual places. I hope you will hear our requests,” he concluded.
