A former couple on the brink of divorce got a joint tattoo to seal their union. But during J-Lo’s last public appearance, the symbol was gone from her skin.
They etched their love in indelible ink on their first Valentine’s Day; Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got matching tattoos to celebrate their engagement just six months after they got married. But while the actress filed for divorce in August, she doesn’t seem to want to keep the slightest trace of the relationship any longer. Indeed, during her latest appearance on the Toronto Film Festival red carpet on Friday, September 6, the singer showed up with a drop of ink on her skin right where the custom design was tattooed.
Supposedly placed on the upper part of his ribs, just to the left, the pattern was inconspicuous on the picture. Her cut-out dress, which showed off the side of her bare figure, left no room for doubt. The tattoo may have been hidden under thick layers of makeup, or perhaps, more radically, permanently lasered off.

Matching tattoos
Last year, the 55-year-old artist proudly showed off the tattoo she and her ex-husband got on Valentine’s Day on her Instagram page. the translator of Jenny from the block she shared images of a drawing of the infinity symbol on her ribs, with the first names ‘Jennifer’ and ‘Ben’ written on either side of the two rings, all crossed with Cupid’s arrow. Another photo also revealed an almost identical tattoo of her ex-partner, consisting of two intersecting arrows with the former couple’s initials in them.
“Obligation. Happy Valentine’s Day my love,” she captioned her post, adding the hashtag “#CommitmentIsSexy” (French for “commitment is sexy”) to her statement, referring to their July 2022 nuptials.
