“I think about adolescence, about the first choices we make independently of our parents. My first lover? I remember it well because it is now my companion. We met in high school and then found each other again. I had a photo of him, stolen from the playground, taped to my bedroom wall next to photos of Steve McQueen, Heath Ledger and Scarlett Johansson. This excitement, this joy and at the same time this fear that we feel when we fall in love, and that it is mutual, make up a cocktail of strong emotions that we can find in friendship.
