The all-Ukrainian charity tour “Symphony of Crimea” ended in Kyiv. Return, which covered 18 cities and attracted the attention of more than 10 thousand viewers.
The National Presidential Orchestra, led by conductor Dilyaver Osman, performed the works of the famous Crimean Tatar composer Elvira Emir, in particular Crimean Patterns, Symphony No. 2 Avdet (Return) and the ode Oh, my holy people!
Elvira Emir is one of the few female composers in Crimean Tatar culture, and her work combines national folklore with twentieth-century modernism, including neo-romanticism and impressionism. The poem of the Polish classic Adam Mickiewicz from the Crimean Sonnets cycle performed by Alexander Rudko was also performed on the tour.
Symphony of Crimea project. The return visualized the main events in the history of the Crimean Tatar people over the past 250 years, from the time of Khan Geray to the annexation of Crimea and the invasion of Russia. The idea of the project, according to Rudko, appeared even before the whole war with the aim of reminding the world: “Crimea is Ukraine.”
“I want to create a cultural product that emphasizes that Crimea is Ukraine And only the sonnets of Adam Mickiewicz, they clearly convey my feelings, a person who is not directly related to Crimea in Crimea, the history and culture this,” he said.
It was previously reported that Jerry Heil submitted his song #AllEyesOnKids, dedicated to the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia, to the Grammy Award.
