Actor James Earl Jones, voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars, has died

Jones’ career has spanned decades, from early television roles to culturally-infused voice work such as Darth Vader in Star Wars and Mufasa in The Levi King.

American actor James Earl Jones, who voiced the character Darth Vader in Star Wars, has died at the age of 93. AP wrote this on Monday, September 9.

His death was confirmed by agent Barry McPherson, who noted that Jones died at his home in the Hudson Valley region of New York on Monday morning.

He starred in films such as Dr. Strangelove, or How I Stopped Being Afraid and Fell in Love with a Bomb by Stanley Kubrick, Conan the Barbarian, Coming to America with Eddie Murphy, Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner, The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Direct at August ay a threat (for the last two – with Harrison Ford).

He is known as the voice of CNN with the phrase “This is CNN”. His work in animation, audiobooks, and voice-overs has become legendary in the industry.

James Earl Jones gained his greatest fame by voicing Darth Vader in Star Wars. He also voiced Mufasa in The Lion King.

Jones has received numerous awards, including two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, a Grammy, a National Medal of Arts and an honorary Academy Award. In 2022, one of the theaters on Broadway was renamed in his honor. He made his Broadway debut in 1958 in Breaking Dawn and Campobello.

It was previously reported that the famous American rapper Fatman Scoop, whose real name is Isaac Freeman, died at the age of 56.
