The company announced this on Instagram, publishing a photo of the main actress Elisabeth Moss, who this time will also be the director. In the photo, Moss, 42, is smiling while holding a clapperboard with a name listed as “Director.”
“Guess who’s back? Production has officially begun on the final season. #TheHandmaidsTale returns in spring 2025,” the caption read.
Filming began nearly two years after the fifth season aired, delayed by a writers’ and actors’ strike and difficulties with the actors’ schedules.
