A video has been circulating on social networks since the beginning of the week, where Prince William is very angry with the paparazzi. Deleted by YouTube at the request of Kensington Palace, it has nevertheless resurfaced on Tiktok…
Don’t mess with William. A video posted on social media this week that has gone viral shows a completely different side of England’s future king, usually very content and civilized. We can see the Duke of Cambridge furiously lashing out at paparazzi who invaded the family’s Sandringham estate to appear to photograph him, his wife and children on a bike ride.
“You were spying on us, you were looking for us. […] How dare you do this to our children, how dare you? William asks, in front of a surprised and very angry photographer, who then seems to lose his funds. If we don’t see his wife Kate in the picture, we can hear:
“You are disgusting, you are disgusting.”
And William will add: “You’re disgusting, you’re repulsive.” At the same time, he tries to reach his security service, and then asks the photographer how he got into their domain. The paparazzi excuse themselves by explaining that they went on a public road. “Thanks for ruining our day… I thought you learned from your mistakes over time,” concludes Charles and Diana’s son.

The scene was shot by the paparazzi himself, Terry Harris. Filmed in January 2021, so it was only released on June 27, 2022 on YouTube. In a statement dated June 28, Kensington Palace called the photographer’s actions a breach of privacy before requesting that the video be removed from the YouTube platform, which it complied with. But the images were retweeted on Tiktok and picked up on multiple platforms as well.
The British media has a tacit agreement with the royal family that they should not publish “invasive” or informal photos of the royal family or their children. The trauma of Princess Diana’s death remains in everyone’s memory.
