After mysterious publications and theories created by fans, the second collaboration between BTS and Megan Thee Stallion is confirmed
After mysterious posts and theories created by fans, the long-awaited second collaboration between BTS and Megan Thee Stallion was confirmed this Friday, the 30th, through a publication on the group’s official profile on X (formerly Twitter).
It all started on August 29, when the American rapper and songwriter published a tweet with behind-the-scenes footage from the recording of the video for “Mamushi (feat. Yuki Chiba)”, a track from her new album, “Megan”, accompanied by the caption: “Good morning! Let’s start the day with a behind-the-scenes look at Mamushi’s music video. More news later!”
Then a new post was published on the profile of Meganbut this was made up of only 3 emojis: a horse, a purple heart and the side-eyed emoji, separated by an X. The publication was enough for fans to start believing that a new partnership with BTS would come, since the color purple has a broad meaning for the fandom and the group.
This morning, the confirmation finally came. BTS’s X profile reposted the tweet with the addition of a comment also formed by emojis, placing the horse (which represents Megan) and a koala, leading ARMYs to believe that the partnership will be carried out with RMthe leader of the group, since KOYA, the koala, is his BT21 character.
More than that, the idea about a possible partnership with the owner of the album “Right Place, Wrong Person” gained even more strength, as Megan released “LOST”, the title track from his latest album RMpinned to your Instagram profile.
Information about the release date has not yet been confirmed by the group or the rapper.
It is worth remembering that Megan and BTS collaborated on the remix of the song “Butter”, released on August 27, 2021. At the time, fans were able to hear the track in the voice of the septet and the rapper live, as she made some special appearances at the group’s shows in the United States.
