From August 29 to November 17, the Ermilov Center will host the exhibition Feeling of Security, which will bring together more than 30 artists from 10 countries to rethink the theme of security in war.
From August 29 to November 17, an international art project will take place at the Kharkov Ermilov Center Feeling safededicated to the war in Ukraine.
The exhibition brings together more than 30 artists from more than 10 countries, who explore the theme of security through the prism of their personal war experiences.
The aim of the project is to rethink the concept of safety and create a temporary space that provides a sense of security, support and connection to others. A significant part of the works presented were created specifically for this exhibition, which makes it even more significant.
Among the works that will be shown in the exhibition are Smoky garnish Nadirs Hussein, who creates a contrast between the stiffness of concrete and the lightness of fabric, showing weariness and anxiety about safety. Pavel Makov will show an updated installation Bed, carpet, broochwhich symbolizes protection and shelter in times of war.
Kurdish artist Ahmet Ogüt created a work for the project Safe return of evacueeswhere he produced the works of Ukrainian artists who had fled from Kharkov. In addition, Ogüt will present an interactive installation Jump!which through trampolining symbolizes the balance between joy and instability.
For the first time in Kharkov a portrait of Boris Mikhailov will be shown No title. From the series Yesterday’s sandwichreflecting surreal images from the past, prophetically echoing current tragic events.
Earlier it was reported that the opening of a personal exhibition of Sasha Maslov took place at The Naked Room gallery saints.
