The new version featuring Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon is part of the tenth anniversary edition of Sam Smith’s album “In The Lonely Hour”
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the release of the album “In The Lonely Hour”, Sam Smith released a new version of the hit ‘I’m Not The Only One’, this time in collaboration with the k-pop idol Taeyeonsoloist and member of Girls’ Generation. In addition to Taeyeonthe title track of the album that launched the career of Smith in the music industry it also gained two versions with the American R&B star, Alicia Keys: one recorded in the studio and the other live, with the duo performing the song at Jungle City Studios, in New York, United States. The commemorative project, however, expands to other tracks on the album. This is because the Brazilian singer IZA gave voice to “Lay Me Down”, the Spanish Aitana performed “Like I Can” and the Japanese-American Hikaru Utada granted his version of “Stay with Me”.
On the new edition of “In The Lonely Hour”, there is a previously unreleased track titled “Little Sailor”, as well as several other collaborations with artists such as Mary J. Blige, A$AP Rocky and John Legend. Listen!
