Discover some animated films released by Pixar that, in addition to marking the lives of thousands of people, also made history in cinemas
Throughout its history, Pixar has been responsible for providing audiences with films with memorable stories that have marked the lives of thousands of people around the world, bringing entire families together in movie theaters to watch the new animations.
In addition, many of the studio’s animated films were also groundbreaking in the industry, making history in the film market. With this in mind, RECREIO has selected 5 Pixar films that made history in cinema. Check them out:
1. Wall-E
Released in 2008, “Wall-E” innovated by showing that, with a good narrative, words are not necessary to convey the message to the public, since the first minutes of the film are entirely silent, showing only the interactions between the little robot Wall-E and the technological robot EVA when they find themselves on a planet Earth completely dominated by pollution.
2. Toy Story
In 1995, “Toy Story” made history by becoming the first animated film to be made entirely using computer graphics and in 3D format. Due to its pioneering nature, the director John Lasseterwas honored with a special Oscar at the 1996 ceremony of the main international film awards.
3. Inside Out
Pixar films are known for always addressing different emotions, but in “Inside Out,” emotions themselves take center stage in the plot, helping us get a little insight into how these feelings work in our heads. The franchise has become such a success that “Inside Out 2,” released this year, has already become the highest-grossing animated film of all time, grossing over $1.46 billion internationally, surpassing “Frozen 2.”
4. Brave
In 2012, Merida, the protagonist of “Brave,” became Pixar’s first princess. The film also made history by being one of the first princess films where the search for a relationship is not the main point of the plot, but rather courage and family issues.
5. Finding Nemo
Premiering in 2003, “Finding Nemo” presents the captivating story of Marlin, the clownfish who spares no effort to face the vastness of the ocean and find his son Nemo, and ends up making great friends along the way, like Dory, who won over the public and even earned her own film, “Finding Dory”, in 2016. The plot was responsible for giving Disney and Pixar their first Oscar for Best Animated Feature, in the 2004 edition.
