Described as a loyal friend and hard worker, the comedian revealed star seeds, At M6, he already has a thirty-year career behind him. Radio columnist – Commander’s moods on Europe 1 and TV TV kids the host is a jokester Burger Quiz – he has also become a familiar face in French cinema (about thirty films as an actor and two as a director).

Madame Figaro . – How do we manage to make people laugh in life?
Commander Jerome. – I found a language that felt good. I had a boyfriend at 5e who imitated the teachers to perfection, and I had the impression of escaping from reality in this way. I never wanted to leave this world again. Everything is softer, more intense, and as I get closer to fifty, laughter makes me nervous. Seeing that the new generation, like Panayiotis Pascoe, Melody Fontaine or Benjamin Tranier, love this art, this discipline, excites me.
What was the trigger?
I was a typical suburbanite. I grew up in Yvelines in Chanteloup-les-Vignes with a mother who worked for a mortgage company and a father who was a designer at Peugeot. I remember waiting until I was 14 or 15 to go up to Paris by myself and go to the cinema Champs-Elysées, but my first contact with the world of entertainment was on television. Without knowing why, I was fascinated by the trailers of movies and plays, as well as programs such as: Holy evening Or midnight baths, By Thierry Ardison. I was wondering if the guests had lunch together after the show…
How would you define your sense of humor?
As in judo, I like to use the opponent’s strength. cold, dead humor, double or triple trigger humor. When, for example, someone says a slightly strange sentence in the evening and your neighbor whispers “or not”, it can take me an hour.

What were the events that marked you?
Introducing the Caesars Ceremony in 2017. It remains the event that produced television’s greatest moments. Ani Girardo’s tears, the plate of noodles on Michel Cero’s head, Omar Sy’s dance… It was extraordinary to be on this stage facing this room.
What are your movie aspirations?
At the end of the year, I have to start shooting my third film. You haven’t changed. The playing field. A group of friends reunite after a twenty-year absence and take stock of their lives. I play there alongside Vanessa Paradis, Laurent Lafitte and Francois Damien. Directing is extraordinary, I never thought that I would achieve it in my life.
Is there a misconception about comedians?
It’s about artists in general. I don’t like the idea that just because we live in Paris often, we don’t travel beyond the ring road. With tours I know where to eat in any city in France and I know the cultural centers and the smallest cinemas.
I like to use the antagonist’s strength: cold, deadpan humor

What did your last show bring you? Very gently ?
With him I met my audience. I am preparing the third one and feel free to do all the themes. In 300 performances, I have never been told that I went too far and didn’t change a line of text because of time. We should realize how lucky we are to live in a land of free speech.
