In a recent interview with the Times of India, the actor Simu Liuwho plays the hero Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has revealed that he is excited about the sequel to the film, which he says is already in development. Despite the recent changes to the MCU’s release schedule, Liu stated that he has high expectations for the hero’s next solo film:
A lot of it is beyond my expertise, but it will definitely happen. I’m super excited to work on it, it’s going to be amazing. I really can’t say anything more than that,” Simu said.
So far, no official announcement has been made by Marvel regarding the sequel to “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”. In addition, the actress and comedian Awkwafinawho co-stars in the first feature alongside Simu Liurecently said in an exclusive interview with ComicBook that she “doesn’t know anything about the sequel yet.”
While new information is not released, it is possible to watch “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” through Disney+. Released in September 2021, the film was a huge success and surprised fans, grossing more than US$430 million at the box office around the world.
