The Lamberts and the Fosters made large audiences laugh at a time when the phenomenon of blended families was becoming increasingly common in society. But what happened to the performers of Carol, Frank, Cody, JT, Dana, Karen, Alicia and others?
Two opposite worlds
Our beautiful family is an American family comedy from the 90s that follows the adventures of two blended families. After getting married on a whim while on vacation in Jamaica, building contractor Frank Lambert and hairdresser Carol Foster must learn to live together with their children from previous marriages navigating the transition between childhood and adolescence. Frank has three boisterous children, while Carol’s children, also three, are more reserved. The differences between the members of the two families make for often hilarious situations (especially when cousin Cody, a big fan of the Lambert family, comes into the picture), sometimes touching. Together, they go through the ups and downs of modern family life, showing that despite the challenges, love and understanding can create a “beautiful family.”
