According to a recent interview with Patriot News, the actor Drake Bell stated that he met with his former colleague, Josh Peckto discuss a possible return of Nickelodeon’s “Drake & Josh”. The actor comments that he would like to innovate if the idea goes ahead, preventing the possible reboot from delivering “more of the same”:
We talked about it, but I also didn’t want to do it when everyone was working on a reboot (…) Luckily for us, the show has our name on it, so we can still do Drake & Josh. But I think it would be funnier if we did more buddy comedies, you know? Something that’s like a surprise, a little different. That would be a lot more interesting,” Drake said in the interview.
Broadcast on Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2007, the series “Drake & Josh” followed the daily lives of two half-brothers who become a family after Drake’s mother marries Josh’s father. With a total of 57 episodes spread over four seasons, the series stood out for its humor and absurd situations, consolidating itself as one of the most iconic duos in sitcoms of the time.
