In South Korea, respect for elders is taken very seriously, so much so that the use of honorifics is indispensable, where “Oppa” and “Hyung” are used to refer to an older brother or friend and “unnie” and “noona” for an older sister or friend.

Furthermore, in k-pop groups, there is also the group arrangement system, where it is common to see members occupying specific positions, such as in BTS, where Sucks is the lead rapper; J-Hope is the main dancer; Jimin is a main dancer and lead vocalist; Vis a lead dancer, vocalist and visual; Jin is a vocalist and visual; Jungkook is main vocalist, lead dancer, rapper and center; and RM is the leader and main rapper of the group.

This happened at “BTS Comeback Show — DNA”, the boy group’s first special comeback concert, held to promote their fifth mini album “Love Yourself: Her”, featuring performances, skits and interviews. The special aired on September 21, 2017 on Mnet.

On that occasion, the first to arrive, Jimin and Vagreed to reprimand the other members for being late to go on stage. So, when Jin arrived, he had to scold the next late member: Jungkook.

Upon receiving the mission, Jin joked: “I accept, but he is too scary to be reprimanded. Jeon Jungkook is scary”. But when he got the attention of “Seven’s” voice, the situation soon turned into a good-natured joke, as JK didn’t care about the scolding.

With that, it was now time for Jungkook reprimand the next late member, who could be Sucks or RM. When asked who he would rather draw attention to, the maknae said calmly: “I don’t know. I don’t care.”

However, when he saw that the BTS leader was the next late member, the indifference gave way to brief despair, as the idol began to hide behind his fellow members and look for ways to leave the place so as not to have to face RM face to face, being saved by a crew member who asked everyone to come to the stage.
