New footage of BTS’ Suga’s incident revealed by Dong-A Ilbo

In new security camera footage, Dong-A Ilbo newspaper shows what really happened to BTS’ Suga on August 6.

On Wednesday, the 14th, the South Korean newspaper Dong-A Ilbo (via AllKpop) released new images of Sucksmember of BTS, in his recent controversy for driving an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol, where it is possible to see more clearly the entire incident that occurred on August 6th.

According to the outlet, these would be the true images of the moment, while the first video released by the broadcaster JTBC the day after the controversy would be false, and that the person present in the scene would not be the idol, according to recent reports.

In the new images, which had their veracity confirmed by BigHit Music to Dong-A Ilbo, it is possible to see Sucks driving the electric scooter on his way home from Nine One Hannam condominium in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, at a low speed, and falling after making a left turn and losing his balance, without causing any accident to other people. At this time, three police officers who were passing by and saw the incident approached the artist, where they tried to help him and noticed his drunkenness.

As reported by AllKpop, the police point out that the true order of events that happened that night is: around 9 pm, Sucks met up with acquaintances at a restaurant in Hannam-dong, where he drank alcohol, before going to his private studio and drinking again. Later, at approximately 11 p.m., the idol leaves the studio and takes an electric scooter to go to Nine One Hannam, where the incident captured by security cameras took place.

Police reports also indicate that the scooter model used in the controversy can reach up to 30 km/h, and has a 1.2 kW engine, being classified as a “moped” by South Korean traffic laws and, therefore, Sucks may face criminal charges for impaired driving.

To continue the investigation, AllKpop states that the idol should soon be summoned by the police to testify, with everything being coordinated by BigHit.
