This year’s edition of the VMA has already defined the first five artists confirmed to perform on the stage of the UBS Arena in New York
Previously scheduled for September 10, this year’s Video Music Awards 2024 (VMA) has changed date and will now take place on the 11th of the same month, due to the presidential debate of the candidates for the presidency of the United States that will be broadcast on TV.
In addition to the new date, the first five artists confirmed to perform on the UBS Arena stage in New York were also revealed. They are: Camila Cabello, GloRilla, Sabrina Carpenter,Chappell Roan and Rauw Alejandro.
“Affirmative – The first set of 2024 #VMAs artists are ready to go,” MTV wrote in the post revealing all the artists’ artwork for the event. Check it out in the thread above!

Created in 1984, the VMA is an American music award presented by the MTV channel that relies on public voting to define the winners of 15 different categories, including “Video of the Year”, “Artist of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, “Best New Artist” and many others.
Voting for the 2024 edition is now open to the public on MTV’s official website. An important detail is that the vote count for the New Artist category will remain open until the night of the event, September 11th.
The 2024 VMAs will be broadcast live in 150 countries. In Brazil, the MTV channel and the Paramount+ streaming service will be responsible for broadcasting the awards ceremony on the small screen.
