See when the second sequel to the Frozen franchise, from directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, is expected to hit theaters
The first day of the D23 Expo, an event held to announce upcoming Disney releases, brought the premiere date for “Frozen 3”. As reported by the Omelete portal, at the event held in Anaheim, California, United States, last Friday, the 9th, it was confirmed that the sequel is expected to hit theaters in 2027.
It is worth remembering that the film was announced in February of this year, during the conference call on the earnings of the first quarter of 2024 of Disney and, at the time, the prediction was that the animation, like “Toy Story 5”, would be released in 2026.
In fact, at D23, “Toy Story 5” was confirmed to premiere during the American summer of 2026. The information was released with the first teaser of the title; remember!
The “Frozen” franchise began in 2013 featuring sisters Elsa and Anna in the cold lands of Arendelle, with the first title becoming the winner of the 2014 Oscar in the categories of Best Animated Film and Best Original Song for “Let It Go”, by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
It is worth remembering that the first sequel premiered in 2019. The third film has not yet had a synopsis or previews released to the public.
