Accompanied by Emmanuel Macron, 5-year-old Isis hugged her father to congratulate him. The French judoka won individual gold this Friday, August 2, during the Olympic Games in Paris.
Teddy Rainer’s entire family came to cheer him on this Friday, August 2, during his fight against world champion Kim Min-chong of South Korea at the Paris Olympics. Cheers to victory as the French judoka took him down to claim his third Olympic crown in his category. The athlete was joined by his daughter, 5-year-old Yis, who jumped into his arms to congratulate him a few minutes after he got off the stand. A touching moment that was applauded by the thousands of spectators present at the Champ-de-Mars Arena. “Are you happy with daddy?” we can hear her asking in the video, which was shared on TikTok and has already been viewed nearly 200,000 times.
“Grandiose”
Before she could move towards her father, the young lady was accompanied by President Emmanuel Macron. The head of state did not miss a single minute of Teddy Rainer’s fight against Kim Minjong. “Great, Teddy Rainer is a very big champion,” he declared.
Also near the tatami were his wife Lutna Plokus and their second child, 10-year-old Eden. But still some of his friends, like actor Omar Sy or basketball player Tony Parker, were in awe of his victory. “He makes us so proud. He’s my friend, so for me he’s a great guy, he’s incredible and I’m looking forward to partying with him,” the NBA champion announced to France 2 cameras.
