It’s been almost a year since vocalist Steven Tyler hasn’t regained vocal communication, which is why the band officially announced the cancellation of their farewell tour.
American rock band Aerosmith has announced the end of touring activities. Its 76-year-old vocalist Steven Tyler has not recovered from a vocal cord injury. The group announced this on August 3 in a statement published on social network X.
Aerosmith noted that the band’s farewell tour has been canceled, and that money for tickets sold will be refunded.
“We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when we perform. As you know, Stephen’s voice is a unique instrument. He’s been working tirelessly for months to come back. We’ve seen him battle it out with the help of the best medical team in the world, “Unfortunately, it has become clear that full restoration of the voice after the injury is impossible,” the message said.
Last May, Aerosmith announced that it would hold a farewell tour, scheduled to run from September 2023 to January 2024. During one of the first concerts, Steven Tyler injured his ligaments and could not even speak. After three concerts the tour was discontinued. The tour is planned to continue in September.
Recall that in 2022, Steven Tyler was accused of sexual assault that allegedly occurred in the mid-1970s.
