Find out how the current dormitory division is between the members of Stray Kids, a boy group from JYP Entertainment
In K-pop, companies have provided housing for idols since their trainee period — but anyone who thinks that the residences are extremely luxurious right from the start is mistaken. In addition to the fact that the houses are often too small for the number of members, who have to share the same room with several people, there have also been numerous reports that the places do not have the best conditions.
Recently, the mother of Minjifrom NewJeans, for example, revealed in an exclusive interview with the South Korean portal Sports World that, when her daughter was a trainee at Source Music, before going to ADOR, the girl lived in a dormitory that had “mold growing in every corner and cockroaches appearing here and there”.
Furthermore, in 2021, during the participation of Roséfrom BLACKPINK, on the program “Sea of Hope”, from the South Korean broadcaster JTBC, the artist revealed that, also during her trainee period, she did not live in a place “that cool”.
“When I first came to Korea, I wasn’t even on the debut team. There were cockroaches. At that time, it wasn’t confirmed that we would make our debut. Because of that, we didn’t live in such a nice place,” Rosé said on the show.
However, after their debut and as their success grows, it is common for groups to end up improving their living conditions. Stray Kids, for example, started out in a dormitory where all eight members lived together, and became extremely well-known among fans due to their live streams, where it was possible to see that the artists did not put up the kitchen curtain correctly.

In 2022, the idols revealed that they had moved, and now lived in two apartments, each with four members, where everyone had their own bedrooms. At that time, the housing was divided according to each member’s sleeping habits, with Lee Know, Felix, Seungmin It is INwho usually go to bed earlier, in the same residence, while Bang Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin It is Hanwho stay up late in the other house.
Now, in the group’s latest YouTube video, for the “SKZ LOG – STAYweeK 2024” segment, the artists revealed that they have moved again, where they are now divided into four dormitories with four members, with all of them having a distance of just five minutes walking from each other. With that, the stars are divided as follows:
- Bedroom 1: Bang Chan and IN
- Bedroom 2: Lee Know and Han
- Bedroom 3: Changbin and Hyunjin
- Bedroom 4: Seungmin and Felix
